THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Whether you engage in strenuous activities such as cycling, running, or lifting heavy items, or you simply want to take a break and relax a therapeutic massage will give you the healing you’re looking for, both physically and mentally!

Research has shown the people who are massaged before an exam or other potentially stressful situation showed a significant decrease in anxiety and respiratory rates, as well as a significant increase in white blood cells and natural killer cell activity, suggesting a benefit to the immune system. Office workers massaged regularly were more alert, performed better and were less stressed than those who weren't massaged, that therapeutic massage therapy provides greater joint flexibility and range of motion, and that it enhances athletic performance; as well as treating injuries caused during sport or work. These are just a few of the many benefits of therapeutic massage. In our stressed out society the benefits are countless.

"Often times people are stressed in our culture. Stress-related disorders make up between 80-and-90 percent of the ailments that bring people to family-practice physicians. What they require is someone to listen, someone to touch them, someone to care. That does not exist in modern medicine.

One of the complaints heard frequently is that physicians don't touch their
patients any more. Touch just isn't there. Years ago massage was a big part of nursing. There was so much care, so much touch, so much goodness conveyed through massage. Now nurses for the most part are as busy as physicians. They're writing charts, dealing with insurance notes, they're doing procedures and often there is no room for massage any more.

I believe massage therapy is absolutely key in the healing process not only in the hospital environment but because it relieves stress, it is obviously foundational in the healing process any time and anywhere."

You ca
n clearly see that therapeutic massages are not only popular but they actually help to make you healthier! People who have experienced therapeutic massage report that they have an increased sense of daily well-being, better posture and more energy than ever before.

THAI MASSAGE ~~~~~

Whether you engage in strenuous activities such as cycling, running, or lifting heavy items, or you simply want to take a break and relax a Thai massage will give you the healing you’re looking for, both physically and mentally!

Research has shown the people who are get a Thai massage before an exam or other potentially stressful situation showed a significant decrease in anxiety and respiratory rates, as well as a significant increase in white blood cells and natural killer cell activity, suggesting a benefit to the immune system. Techniques vary – people who like rigorous workouts will get exactly that in Bangkok, while northern techniques are substantially gentler. Whichever one you go for, try not to fight the masseuse – stay loose so she can work properly. Thai massage is not for everyone, but most people walk out far less tense than when they went in.

What is the difference between a European massage and a Thai massage? Unlike European style, traditional Thai massage focuses on circulation and pressure points, promoting internal health as well as muscular flexibility. The traditional procedure is centuries old. Using her hands, elbows, knees and feet, the masseuse applies pressure to numerous points along the body’s meridians, or ‘life-power lines’, and manipulates the customer’s body and limbs. The aim is to encourage an even and harmonious flow of physical energy.

"Often times people are stressed in our culture. Stress-related disorders make up between 80-and-90 percent of the ailments that bring people to family practice physicians. What they require is someone to listen, someone to touch them, someone to care. That does not exist in modern medicine.

REFLEX ZONE THERAPY

What is reflex zone therapy?

Also known as foot reflexology, reflex zone therapy is a type of massage therapy that focuses fully on the foot. While it always feels good to receive a foot massage, reflex zone therapy is more than just a foot massage. It is based on the idea that all nerves begin in the foot and travel up the body. This means that, if any area of the body is not functioning properly, reflex zone therapy can help relieve the problem.

What is the history of reflex zone therapy?

Reflex zone therapy was founded by Dr. William Fitzgerald in the United States in the 1800’s. While many people had discovered that there were points in the body that could be manipulated to relieve pain and tension (the Chinese and Japanese had been doing it for centuries), no therapy had focused exclusively on the feet until that time. Since the time of Dr. Fitzgerald’s beginning development of reflex zone therapy, many practitioners and doctors have added to his base findings and created the most recent form of reflex zone therapy.

What are the benefits of reflex zone therapy?

There can be many different types of benefits receiving reflex zone the

rapy, some of which are achieved instantaneously, and some which take several treatments to achieve. Instant benefits of a reflex zone therapy session can include:

• Increased blood flow to the rest of the body
• Relaxation
• Relief from current pain
• More energy

Some ailments that zone reflex therapy has helped in the past (these required many treatments over the course of time) include:

• Menstrual disorders

• Toothaches
• Joint problems

• Thyroid conditions
• Bowel dysfunction
• Ear infections

It is important to understand that this therapy doesn’t work on everyone, and it works to a different degree on every person. While zone reflex therapy can compliment any other treatments and help speed the healing process, it’s not something that sh

ould replace other forms of healthcare.

Who should not receive zone reflex therapy?

Many practitioners and doctors feel that anyone can receive zone reflex therapy without any ill effects. Some, however, believe that it is too uncomfortable for the elderly or the extremely young. There are certain health conditions that may not be suitable for zone reflex therapy, as well. It is important to talk to your healthcare provider first to find out if a zone reflex therapy treatment would be safe for you.

Once given the ok by your doctor, contact a lo cal zone reflex therapy practitioner in your area to schedule your appointment as soon as possible. Even without the medical benefits, a foot massage feels great and there’s no time to experience one like the present.

MASSAGE - Beneficial for relaxation, pain relief and detoxification

Massage is much more than a tool for relaxation. Massage helps the body to heal itself and increases health and well being. For those who are ill, have pain or for various reasons don't/can't exercise, massage provides some tangible health benefits.

Massage stimulates the circulation and lymph system which helps the body to detoxify. During massage, the body tissues and muscles receive more blood and therefore more oxygen. This in turn helps to purge lactic and uric acid along with other waste materials. Due to the in
crease in circulation and purging of toxins, many believe that massage boosts the immune system and benefits muscle tone, digestion and skin tone.

Massage helps to provide better mobility through pain relief. It helps with pain by relaxing the muscles and detoxifiying the body. Toxins can cause pain so while initially you may feel more pain, you will receive varying degrees of relief over time.

WHAT IS A CHAIR MASSAGE?

What is a chair massage?

A chair massage, also known as a seated massage or an on-site massage, is a massage that is performed with the patient seated in a massage chair as opposed to on a massage table. While some massage therapy locations offer seated massages in their physical building, the majority of chair massages are performed on-site. This can include many places of business or other public places, such as malls.

Chair massage is a great benefit for businesses to offer employees. Many companies find that massage in the workplace reduces stress and increases energy levels among employees. Chair massage also helps relieve neck, shoulder, and arm tension that contribute to repetitive stress injuries.

Companies benefit in the form of increased productivity, lower absenteeism, and higher morale.

Onsite chair massage comes to your office, and can be set up in a conference room, empty office, or other unused space.

Also, the convenience and portability of a massage chair means that it can be set up almost anyplace. Consider arranging chair massage for:

> Trade shows, conventions, or conferences

> Company meetings or open houses

> Parties or sporting events

Have a large group? You can talk about arranging several massage practitioners.

( Normally charges in U.S. $68/hour (or $17 per 15-minute massage)) with a two-hour minimum. Massages can be set up for anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes each. These prices might be varies to country standard when ever the massage is perform (USA, Philippines, Thailand, India, UK, etc..)

Note: You can use either commercial chair or just an ordinary chair which can be used.).

SWEDISH MASSAGE THERAPY...

What is Swedish massage therapy?

Swedish massage therapy is the most commonly known and used form of massage in the United States. It is considered in America to be the most classic and basic of all massage methods (in most of Europe, this type of massage is simply referred to as classic massage), and has been the basis for many other types of massage such as deep tissue massage and more.

Swedish massage therapy is a type of massage therapy that invol
ves five key movements:

>Vibration

>Tapping

>Kneading

>Stroking

>Friction

Using these five movements, practitioners of Swedish massage therapy are able to relax muscles and enhance oxygen flow throughout the blood.

What is the history of Swedish massage therapy?

There is actually debate among what the history is of Swedish massage therapy. Some sources credit Henri Peter Ling for the founding of the Swedish massage in 1812 in Sweden. There are other sources, however, that claim that this is an untrue credit. Instead, they say that Swedish massage therapy was developed by Johan Mezger (who is Dutch). The researchers who believe that Henri Ling was not the creator of Swedish massage therapy say that he mistakenly received credit because of transposed words. Henri Ling founded a gymnastics institute and called the movements the Swedish Movement System. It is believed that these words somehow became later misunderstood as Swedish Massage System, thereby giving Henri Ling credit.

What are the benefits of Swedish massage therapy?

Just as with many other forms of massage therapy, Swedish massage therapy can provide many benefits to the recipient. Using firm, gentle pressure, the practitioner will employ the five movements listed above (stroking, vibration, friction, kneading, and tapping) to create flexibility, relaxation, increased oxygen in the blood, and the easing of aches and pains.
Swedish massage therapists apply deep pressure to help rid toxins in the body, to help recover more quickly from injuries, and to reduce emotional and physical stress.

What happens during a Swedish massage?

A Swedish massage is what most people think of and picture as soon as anyone mentions the word massage. It is this type of massage that involves “draping” (where the patient is undressed but has a sheet covering the parts of the body that are not being worked on), and the practitioner uses oils to facilitate long gliding strokes along the muscles.

If you are stressed and in need of some relaxation Swedish massage therapy may be for you. Contact a local Swedish massage therapist for an appointment today..

AROMATHERAPY...........

Aromatherapy is the enhancement of mind, body and spirit with the use of aromatic, botanical essential oils. The essential oils (life force) contain both medicinal (healing) and aromatic characteristics and provide tremendous healing and balancing properties.

The oils may be used in baths, as inhalations, compress, massage, and in diffusers for a room.

The oils each have many properties. Most are antiseptic, antibacterial, disinfectant and biotic in nature. Essential oils penetrate the skin quickly into the bloodstream. Note: that is why it is so
important to wear protective gloves and clothing when working with toxic chemicals in our homes and work places.

Essential oils can be absorbed into the lungs through inhalation, as well as through the olfactory system via the nose and sense of smell.

Essential Oils Work on Various Levels

Energy

Oils are capable of changing a mood of an individual or room, raising the vibration, or calming if needed. Most people prefer the calming affects.

Physical

The oils have a direct affect on specific and general body functions.

Spiritual

Oils may be used in meditation and Chakra balancing.

Emotional

The oils trigger the release of neuro-chemicals and may unlock memory suppression.

The typical Aromatherapy Massage involves a combination of oils. A general uplifting blend or a general calming blend can be chosen. The massage itself is a firm to gentle Lymphatic Drainage Massage. The Lymphatic Drainage refers to the bodies system that defends the body from disease and toxic substances. It is made up of a widespread network of lymphatic vessels. The body contains lymph nodes which contain cells sensitive to changes in the composition of the lymph. Larger lymph organs include the thymus, tonsils and spleen. The lymph system moves slowly on its own, therefore it is beneficial to ones health to help move it along so that the body may rid itself of toxins. Another way of moving the Lymph is to do Dry Brushing.

Please note that for personal unsupervised use of oils there are precautions to follow. Find a reliable Aromatherapy guide before embarking on your own.

The following is an overview of one essential oil we have all heard of at one time or another:

Lavender

Lavender is regarded as one of the most useful and versatile oils, generally able to balance and normalize the system regardless of condition. When in doubt use Lavender. The effects on the skin are antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, soothing an d new cell growth stimulant. It is effective in treating minor cuts and wounds. Lavender is one of only a few essential oils which may be applied Neat (directly on the skin). Lavender is also effective with colds and flu, scanty periods, nervous system disorders, aches, pai ns, spasms, cramps and rheumatic pain.

WHAT A TYPICAL MASSAGE TREATMENT IS LIKE....

A typical massage treatment is 40 to 90 minutes long. It begins with consultation and review of symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle. You will be asked to disrobe (most people keep their underwear on) while the therapist is out of the room, and lie face down on a special massage table. There is a sheet or towel draped over you at all times, so only the part of the body being treated at any one time is uncovered. Massage therapists use a light oil or cream on the skin.

Will it be uncomfortable?
It shou
ldn't be uncomfortable. Occasionally there is mild aching when the therapist applies pressure over "knots" and other areas of muscle tension. If the pressure is too strong for you, let the therapist know.

One type of massage, called deep tissue massage, uses more direct pressure and friction on muscles, especially those in the low back, between the shoulder blades, and around the neck. Clients usually feel sore after these treatments.

How will I feel after?
Most people feel calm and relaxed after a treatment. Occasionally, people experience mild temporar
y aching for a day.

Should I talk to the massage therapist during the treatment?
Your massage therapist may ask you questions related to your condition during your treatment. If you have any additional information you forgot to mention during the consultation, don't hesitate to bring it up. Don't feel like you have to make conversation during your treatment.

"I fell asleep during my massage!"
Don't be embarassed - it happens to many people. In fact, being in such as state of relaxation during the massage enhances the therapeutic effects.

THE EFFECTS OF MASSAGE....

Although a single massage will be enjoyable, the effects of massage are cumulative and a course of massage treatments will bring the most benefits. Regular massage can have the effect of strengthening and toning the entire body mechanism, and so help to prevent unnecessary strains and injuries that might otherwise occur due to excess tension and any resulting structural weaknesses. Massage can stimulate or calm the nervous system-depending upon what is required by the individual-and thus help reduce fatigue, leaving the receiver with a feeling of replenished energy. At its best, massage has the potential to restore the individual physically, mentally and spiritually.

3. Healing.
4. Reassuring.
5. Eases tension, stiffness, and pain.
6. Improves breathing.
7. Improves circulation.
8. Enhances well-being.

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage is one of the oldest, simplest forms of therapy and is a system of stroking, pressing and kneading different areas of the body to relieve pain, relax, stimulate, and tone the body. Massage does much more than create a pleasant sensation on the skin, it also works on the soft tissues (the muscles, tendons, and ligaments) to improve muscle tone. Although it largely affects those muscles just under the skin, its benefits may also reach the deeper layers of muscle and possibly even the organs themselves. Massage also stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system (which runs parallel to the circulatory system), improving the elimination of waste throughout the body.

Massage therapy, also known as Swedish massage, is the most common form of massage therapy in the United States. It uses kneading, stroking, friction, and hacking movements on the skin, working the muscles beneath.

Massage therapy stimulates circulation by bringing oxygen and other nutrients to body tissues. It relieves muscle tension and pain, increases flexibility and mobility, and helps clear waste, such as lactic acid, which reduces pain and stiffness in muscles and joints.

Massage therapy also relieves stress. It helps the body's stress response by lowering levels of stress hormones such as cortisol.

MY OPINION ABOUT REFLEXOLOGY/MASSAGE THERAPY

"Often times people are stressed in our culture. Stress-related disorders make up between 80-and-90 percent of the ailments that bring people to family practice physicians. What they require is someone to listen, someone to touch them, someone to care. That does not exist in modern medicine.

One of the complaints heard frequently is that physicians don't touch their patients any more.

I believe reflexology or massage is absolutely key in the
healing process not only in the hospital environment but because it relieves stress, it is obviously foundational in the healing process any time and anywhere."

Massage or Reflexology is becoming increasingly popular. The more studies that are completed with positive results, the more widely accepted it becomes, the more easily accessible it is, and the more affordable it will be.

Many people are taking advantage of reflexology/massage on a regular basis, and these people have less stress and anxiety, a better sense of well-being, and better general health.

If you haven’t tried reflexology/massage therapy there’s no time like the present to get started on a healthier, happier life. Schedule an appointment today to start experiencing the many benefits that massage has to offer.

A MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONAL MASSEURS SERVICES IN THE INTERNET

Now a days, internet is much wide spread all over the world. Any kind of business small or big. Easy to surf and check of what you want or you need. So really everything is easier. thanks to the high technology which keep us more convenient. I do my business marketing (massage) through the internet. When I came to Saudi Arabia, I also use my expertize as a massage therapist. At first, I don't know how to approach people or someone else with my added profession. In Saudi Arabia, a lot of things that you should know. There are a lot of things that you should know when your coming to this place. Knows the do and don't. With regards to this profession, you have to be very careful as you might be mis-understood. This is a religious place that some of the things we do in the Philippines is illegal to their knowledge. So one of the things is the massage. Here in Saudi Arabia, if you're a masseur, you can't applied what we are. There are some few things that you should know. the masseur can only accept male and the masseuse can only do for female, but in the other gulf area like Bharain, Dubai and other neighboring place, we can do this. But here, it is impossible. Maybe you can do this kind of work if the female is not a Saudi National. But it depends as well. In massage business, there are many type of massage perform by a masseur. even some delicate job is not easy to introduce to them unless if the person is aware and knows about the real massage. Anyhow, to make short I started doing my business learning how to use the internet. To make short, I did it myself. It takes for me a while learning some few things in introducing my additional profession but atleast I have a good feedback. But even though I do my business through the internet, still you don't have any assurance as some people as well, they're looking for something else. I think you understand already (if not, just give me a buzz and I will explain to you later). I do also this profession almost a year before I joined to work with another company. As I said, I have to work hard as I have two kids to feed and thanks to GOD, with my profession, I got my own place as well (I bought a house and lot package but still I'm paying as well). Now a days, even though you're earning much but sometimes, you have also to watch how you spent your money. Anyhow, it helps me a lot by earning from my permanent job plus I do a part time massage. I decided to joined another company as I have my goal to reach... Being a masseur, you must be patient and friendly. Here in Saudi Arabia, you must face the consequences as for the truth, this kind of job if you're freelancer is quite risky. I'm not sayng it's dangerous but make sure you have the right people or client you're working with as some other individual, they might thought that you're doing something else. Here also in Saudi Arabia, some other individual are doing this things but something else what really they're performing. I heard some rumors that some are cought and they're are doing some illegal stuff. My advise to the others who are doing same things is that just be very careful as they're might some other individual who are spying and if you do some other things which is against the country's belief,l you might be put into danger. Just a friendly advise that you should take care of your business as well as yourself. Even though my business is through the internet, I must sure that I'm safe. For me, I have enough customers to attend. Just keep in your mind that we're stranger here on this strange land and anything can happen to us in anytime. For me, I have always passion being a masseur and love it. Being a masseur, is not easy specially we're on this kind of place. Everything is to be careful of what you've done.
